Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel

The Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel is located on the corner of Cowper Wharf Roadway and Bourke Street, in the inner city suburb of Woolloomooloo. It was formerly the Macquarie Hotel designed by Ernest Lindsay Thompson and built in 1922 in the Inter-War Free Classical style.

  2. Jim, that is a most unusual name for an area of the city. I'd love to go there just to see more about the place. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Whenever I post photos from the suburb of Woolloomooloo, I always get some feedback about the name. It cracks me up how much interest it generates.

    1. Amy, it's a popular location anyway with at least four pubs within a block of each other and many restaurants.
