Botanic Gardens, Lotus Pond, flowers

The Lotus Pond is located in the Royal Botanic Gardens and is linked to the Main Pond. The lotus or water lilies that surround the fountain in the middle of the pond are currently in bloom. The plants flower at different times of the season so you never see the whole pond in full bloom. I have featured the pond in spring here, in autumn here and without the plants in winter here.

  1. It's great to see the flowers blooming on the lotus plants. I don't see those very often.

  5. It won't be long before the water fountain is overcome by the vigorous water lillies.

  7. Wow. Those plants are large and healthy. Like the little fountain design in the middle of them.
