Circular Quay East, promotion

This chalk artwork was created at East Circular Quay as a promotion for Keep Australia Beautiful Week. This three-dimensional chalk image of a rubbish bin, with scattered rubbish around it, has views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. The scenic location was chosen to encourage people to think twice before dropping their rubbish.

  1. Pity you can't drop real rubbish in this 3D one.

  4. Thats very clever. I saw a picture on FB last week that showed a hole in the ground that had been drawn to make it look 3d like this one - people were walking around it!

  5. Clever drawing. It is even more effective if you squint a bit as you look at it. There seem to be a number of these clever chalk artists around lately.

    1. Joan, it makes me wonder too since it looks so different when drawn on the ground. It really is quite incredible when you view or photograph it at the intended angle.
