Chippendale, warehouse

This former warehouse is located on the corner of Myrtle Street and Shepherd Street, in the inner city suburb of Chippendale. It now has a mix of commercial and residential space. It houses the Art & Technology of Make-Up College which provides training for the film, television, theatre, special effects and fashion industries.

  1. I love the red trim and it's perfect that you caught it with a red car in front.

    1. That red car actually inspired me to stop and take a photo of this place on the weekend. :)

  2. Does it work when an older building is renovated into a mixture of commercial and residential space? Just near my home (in a Melbourne low rise suburb) a building will have shops on the bottom floor and flats on the top three floors. But I fear the peaceful enjoyment of the residents upstairs will be spoiled by the noise and bustle in the commercial section. And the thousands of cars :(

    1. I think in the inner city areas, the mix works well.
