Sydney Opera House, ferry

This Emerald class ferry, operated by Sydney Ferries, is part of the fleet that cruises up the Sydney Harbour and the Parramatta River. It was acquired in 2017 and named after Victor Chang, a pioneering Australian heart surgeon. It's seen here making its way past the Sydney Opera House heading towards the Circular Quay ferry terminal.

  4. Oh I love riding the green ferries! I must come see these new ones. This one has a strange bow. So it is actually a catamaran?

    1. Yes, Dina. The new Emerald Class Ferries and the old First Fleet Class Ferries are catamaran types.

  6. Beautiful picture, but Could you tell me how the opera house is floating out there? Is it a ferry or an island all of its own?.

    1. The Sydney Opera House is built at the end of Bennelong Point so it's on the foreshore of the harbour.
