Sydney Opera House
Sydney Opera House on Bennelong Point is the most recognised Sydney landmark throughout the world. It was designed and mostly built by Danish architect Jørn Utzon. The Sydney Opera House was opened in 1973 and was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. It is a multi-venue performing arts centre. On a bright sunny day the white tiled shells cast a reflection in the blue waters of Sydney Cove, on Sydney Harbour.

Great blog with fantastic pictures. I lived in Sydney (Manly Beach) from 90 to 92 when my children were really young. I used to take the JetCat to cross over to the city. There was a park near the Opera House where I would "liberate" the kiddies from the pram and let them run. It seems like a long time ago because the kiddies are now 20 and 22!

Great shot. Great building. Interesting history too. Bill calls it "Sonya's Workshop" as that is where our daughter works as a production manager.
