Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club

 
The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club sits on the cliff above Tamarama Beach, in the eastern suburb of Tamarama. The club was established in 1906 and this club house was built in 1939 in the art deco style, to replace the original wooden building which was destroyed by fire. It was restored and renovated in 2024 by Chrofi Architects.

Auburn, Botanic Gardens

This structure is located in the Auburn Botanic Gardens, in the western suburb of Auburn. The botanic gardens were established in 1977 and cover an area of 9.7 hectares (24 acres).

Haymarket, mural

 
This mural is on the wall of a restaurant along Hay Street in Chinatown at Haymarket. The artwork features noodles and dumplings rising from a bowl.

Mascot, bridge

Westpac Place and No.1 Shelley Street

Looking across Darling Harbour at dusk to King Street Wharf and the buildings straight behind it are Lime Street apartments, No.1 Shelley Street and Westpac Place. The First Fleet Class ferry is the Borrowdale, acquired in 1985, as part of the Sydney Ferries travelling out of Circular Quay.

Barangaroo, Shellwall


'Shellwall' is a seven-storey public art installation on the southern facade of the Alexander residential building at Barangaroo. It was created in 2015 by Bidjigal elder Esme Timbery and Wiradjuri/Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones, to honour indigenous shell-work traditions and historic local shell middens.

A MiniCat ferry moored at Barangaroo Wharf. The Me-Mel MiniCat ferry is a small catamaran built in 2019 to operate as an On-Demand ferry service. Me-Mel is an indigenous word for Goat Island, an island in Sydney Harbour.

Barangaroo, Monuments for Fishes, sunset


These kinetic sculptures in Watermans Cove at Barangaroo at sunset. 'Monuments for Fishes' were created by artist Mikala Dwyer in 2026, paying homage to the Indigenous women who fished along the cove well before colonisation. The five 23-metre sculptures are crafted from carbon fibre, fibreglass and steel - the same materials used for yachts and they sway with the tides, winds and currents.

Barangaroo, art


This art installation hangs above Mercantile Walk in Barangaroo. "Upside-Down Garden" was created by Indonesian Australian artist Jumaadi in 2025. The artwork is activated with a soundscape and lighting program developed with musician and composer Michael Toisuta which changes at dawn, midday, dusk and midnight. It features entwined woman's hair, an outstretched arm overgrown by vines, an exotic pineapple, a birdman carrying the landscape, a tree inside a wedding gown, a foot print and a foot seat.

This mural is on side wall of music shop on the corner of Alexander Street and Ernest Street in the northern suburb of Crows Nest. It was created by Sid Tapia and features Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters singer and guitarist and former Nirvana drummer.
