These stairs cut through the Rozelle Parklands Amphitheatre, leading up to the chimney stacks above motorways in the inner west suburb of Rozelle.
The ampitheatre can be used for live performances but also doubles as a grandstand for a football field.

This heritage listed building is a former electricity power station, mining museum and chemical laboratory, located between George Street and Hickson Road at The Rocks. This view is from the George Street side, with the abutment to the Sydney Harbour Bridge seen on the left. It was designed by the Government Architect, Walter Liberty Vernon in the Federation Warehouse style with Romanesque and Art Nouveau detailing. The electricity power station and workshops were constructed in the lower part of the building by 1902 with the mining museum, chemical laboratories and octagonal chimney stack in the upper levels of the building constructed by 1909. It became known as the Earth Exchange in 1990 but since 1996 it has been fitted out for office space.

This chimney bathed in golden sunset light is located at the former Randwick Tramway Workshops, along King Street, in the eastern suburb of Randwick. The workshop was established in 1881. The final trams ran in 1961 and the workshop yards became a bus depot and workshop until closing in 1988. The site was redeveloped for residential apartments but the chimney was preserved.
The Corunna Road Sewer Vent and Cottage are located on the corner of Percival Lane West, in the inner west suburb of Stanmore. The heritage listed brick sewer vent's circular base forms part of the brick fence of the cottage, built in the Edwardian Federation style. The name plate on the vent reads "Metropolitan Board of Water Supply and Sewerage 1900".
Looking back at a temporary public art project called "Artists In Residence" on the heritage brewery buildings at Central Park site, in the inner city suburb of Chippendale. "Local Memory" by Brook Andrew comprises of a series of portraits of people who worked in or were associated with the brewery's history between 1909 and 1998. The 18 portraits are almost 3 metres high each and fit neatly into the exposed grid of floors and walls on the northern exterior wall of the old Irving Street Brewery building.

The Hyde Park Obelisk is located on the western edge of Hyde Park, along Elizabeth Street. This view is from the park towards OTC House, an office building on the corner of Bathurst Street. This monument was unveiled in 1857 by Lord Mayor George Thornton and was originally used as a sewerage vent, so was jokingly referred to as Thorton's Scent Bottle. It is 22 metres high, including the 6.5 metre high square sandstone base and a filigreed bronze pyramid vent at the top. This obelisk was modelled on Cleopatra's Needle, on the banks of London's Thames River. The red, green and white banners feature Christmas decorations.
The remains of the Oyster Cove Gasworks are located along Wondakiah Drive, in the north shore suburb of Wollstonecraft. This was originally the site of Robey's Sugar Works, later taken over by the Colonial Sugar Refinery Co. In the late 1860s the Australian Mineral Oil Co. established a kerosene works here and from around 1890, part of the site was also used by the Neokratine Safety Explosive Co of N.S.W. The North Shore Gas Co took over in 1912 with construction of coal gasworks from 1913 to 1917, which operated until 1987. Wondakiah residential development was built here from 1998 with restoration and redevelopment of the remaining structures on site which are the Boiler House, the Exhauster House, the Carburetted Water Gas Plant and the Chimney.
The former Department of Health building is located along Macquarie Street but viewed from the side in Albert Street. It now houses "The Bar", which is part of the "Sir Stamford at Circular Quay Hotel". This heritage listed building was designed by Walter Liberty Vernon and built in 1898 in the Federation Free architectural style. It had also been known as the Health Board Offices and Hospital Admissions Depot.
