Newington Armory, Murama Dance Ground

The Murama Dance Ground is a functional indigenous art installation at Newington Armory, in the western suburb of Sydney Olympic Park. It is located between the Wangal Walk and the Armory Leisure Fields and provides the community with a safe place to gather and participate in cultural and spiritual activities. There is a cauldron in the centre and four totem poles around the edge of the circle.

This boardwalk is in the Landing Lights Wetlands, which are located in the southern suburb of Banksia. This area is named after its close proximity to the landing lights for nearby Sydney Airport.

Monterey, Botany Bay


A view of Monterey Baths, the netted swimming enclosure in Botany Bay along Lady Robinsons Beach, in the southern suburb of Monterey. This was from a couple of months ago after Sydney experienced torrential rain and flooding in some parts. The Georges River and Cooks River empty into Botany Bay and the silt washed into the bay. This was taken a couple of days after the rain stopped and the rolling waves were still noticeably brown.

Surry Hills, mural

This mural is on the side of a shop on the corner of Crown Street and Foveaux Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. It features former Australian Rules footballer Adam Goodes, who played for the Sydney Swans and was twice awarded the Brownlow Medal, the game's most prestigious award. The mural was painted in 2020 by Hamish McBride, Laura Paige, Megan Hales, Jacqueline Butterworth and Kailin Hegel.

Waverley, statue

This marble statue and lamp stands in the grounds of the Uniting War Memorial Hospital, located along Birrell Street, in the eastern suburb of Waverley. It is one of two statues which stand at the entrance of the E. Vickery Memorial Building, which was gifted to the Methodist Church for use as a private hospital in 1919.

This artwork is on the wall of a former warehouse, which is now part of the Marrickville Metro shopping centre, along Smidmore Street in the inner west suburb of Marrickville. The artwork by Georgia Hill spans the full facade, revealing a larger message "You’re Here, I'm Here Too". The awnings feature the names of the cafes and restaurants. The other half can be seen here.

Botanic Gardens, Rathborne Lodge


Rathborne Lodge is a sandstone cottage built in 1856 as a residence for the Governor’s gardener in the Royal Botanic Gardens. It was restored in 1999 and was named for Jack and Cliffina Rathborne who cherished the gardens and left a substantial gift for its restoration. It is now a meeting, conference and function venue.
