This artwork is on a water tank and pump house in Cristison Park, along Old South Head Road in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. It depicts whales and seagulls which can be seen in the Pacific Ocean from the cliffs on the edge of the park at South Head. 'Celebration of Life' was created in 2019 by sculptor and artist Andre Braun.

Vaucluse, bus shelter

This sandstone bus shelter is located at Cristison Park, along Old South Head Road in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. The cliffs on the edge of this park at South Head provide views of the Pacific Ocean.

Vaucluse House

Vaucluse House is located along Wentworth Road, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. This heritage listed mansion was designed by Henry Browne Hayes and built in 1803 in the Gothic Revival style with additions made in 1828. The fountain was installed in the pleasure garden in 1862. In 1915 Vaucluse House became Australia’s first official house museum.

Vaucluse, Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage

The Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage is located along Old South Head Road, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. This cottage was designed by James Barnett and built in 1881 as the keeper’s residence of the nearby Macquarie Lighthouse circa 1818.

The Parsley Bay Suspension Bridge is a footbridge over Parsley Bay, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse.

Vaucluse, Macquarie Lighthouse

Macquarie Lighthouse is located at South Head, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. A flagstaff was erected on this site in 1791 with Australia's first and longest operating navigational lighthouse built here in 1818 in sandstone. The current lighthouse was designed by James Barnet as a replica of the original but using stronger materials and first exhibited in 1883. The lighthouse was fully automated in 1976 and in 1989 the lighthouse keepers were withdrawn. The memorial plaque was erected to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the lighthouse.

Vaucluse, South Head Signal Station

The South Head Signal Station is located along Old South Head Road, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. A lookout post was established on the site in 1790 for ships arriving at the heads of Sydney Harbour. This sandstone tower was designed by Mortimer Lewis and built in the 1840s and in the 1890s raised to the present four storeys. It ceased as a signal station in 1992 but was taken over by Coast Guard Sydney and has operated since as a Search and Rescue Base.

Vaucluse, Gardener's Cottage

The Gardener's Cottage is located off Fig Tree Road in Nielsen Park, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. This heritage listed sandstone cottage was built in the Victorian Gothic Revival Style for the gardener of the nearby Greycliffe House, built in 1851.

Vaucluse, Shark Beach

Shark Beach is located off Nielsen Park, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. The netting creates a swimming bath in Vaucluse Bay which provides protection from sharks in Sydney Harbour.

Vaucluse, St Michael's Anglican Church

A view of St Michael's Anglican Church from the ornate entrance on the corner of Vaucluse Road and Gilliver Avenue, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. This heritage listed sandstone church was designed by Edmund Blacket in the Gothic architectural style and built in 1877.

Vaucluse House, stable

This heritage building is located on the Vaucluse House estate, which gave its name to the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. It was originally used as the stable for Vaucluse House, a mansion designed by Henry Browne Hayes and built in 1803 in the the Gothic Revival style. This two storey sanstone building with stalls, carriage and tack rooms and fruit storage areas was designed by George Cookney and built in 1829.

Vaucluse, Greycliffe House

Greycliffe House is located in Nielsen Park, looking out on Sydney Harbour, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. This sandstone house was designed by John Frederick Hilly and built in 1851 in the Gothic Revival style. Since 1975 it has been the headquarters for the National Park and Wildlife Service.

Vaucluse House, fountain

This fountain stands outside Vaucluse House, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse, which is named after the historic estate. Vaucluse, South Head Signal Station

The South Head Signal Station is located along Old South Head Road, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. Captain John Hunter established a 'lookout post' with huts and a flagstaff in 1790, which would serve as a landmark for ships arriving at the heads. Later, a nine metre high brick column and a semaphore mast were built near the flagstaff. A sandstone tower was designed by Mortimer Lewis and built in the 1840s to replace the brick column and in the 1890s was raised to the present four storeys. It ceased as a signal station for Sydney Harbour in 1992 but was taken over by Coast Guard Sydney and has operated since as a Search and Rescue Base, monitoring small craft and recreational boaters.

Vaucluse, South Head Cemetery

South Head Cemetery is located Old along South Head Road, near the junction of New South Head Road, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. The first interment was in 1869 and there are over 6,000 graves and memorials on 4 acres. This large Celtic cross marks the grave of Sir Walter Edward Davidson, a Governor of New South Wales.
