Tom Uglys Bridge crosses the Georges River and links the southern suburbs of Blakehurst and Sylvania. This view is from a boat ramp at the Sylvania end between the truss bridge on the left, which opened in 1929 and the box girder bridge on the right, which opened in 1987. It looks north towards Tom Uglys Point at Blakehurst, believed to be named after local resident Tom Huxley and transformed by the mispronunciation by local Aborigines.
