Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club

 
The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club sits on the cliff above Tamarama Beach, in the eastern suburb of Tamarama. The club was established in 1906 and this club house was built in 1939 in the art deco style, to replace the original wooden building which was destroyed by fire. It was restored and renovated in 2024 by Chrofi Architects.

Tamarama, bus shelter


This bus shelter is located along Marine Drive, in the eastern suburb of Tamarama. This bus stop is behind Tamarama Park at Tamarama Beach and replaced a historic bus shelter here. The image on the glass at the back is the historic Wonderland City, a major open-air amusement park which was located here between 1906 and 1911.

Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club

The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club sits on the cliff above Tamarama Beach, in the eastern suburb of Tamarama. The club was one of the first surf life saving clubs established in Australia in 1906. This club house was built in 1939 to replace the original wooden building which was destroyed by fire. The large sign at the front has been painted on the steps of a fitness station. The large sign has been painted on the steps which are part of a fitness station, an outdoor workout space. A couple walk past with their children in a pram and a baby carrier.
