The former Bexley council chambers is located on the corner of Queen Victoria Street and Northbrook Street, in the southern suburb of Bexley. The heritage listed building was built in 1901 in the Federation style. The suburb was originally part of the Municipality of Hurstville, from 1887. Bexley formed its own local government council in 1900 but became part of the Municipality of Rockdale in 1949 which then became Bayside Council in 2016. It is now the Jack and Jill Pre-school.
