Leichhardt Town Hall is located on the corner of Norton Street and Marion Street, in the inner west suburb of Leichhardt. This heritage listed building was designed by Drake & Walcotand built in 1888 in the Victorian Free Classical style. The previous colour scheme can be seen here.
I prefer this colour scheme. A much warmer look.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue sky. Oh, and nice architecture too.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be right at home in an inner Melbourne suburb. It's a very handsome building.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what its original color was when built? The white ot yellow or no paint at all. I like the yellow color.
ReplyDeleteDon't know what it was originally but I like the yellow hues too.
DeleteI am always impressed by grand late Victorian architecture in public facilities :)
