Newington Nature Reserve is located along the Parramatta River in the western suburb of Sydney Olympic Park. This 48 hectare nature reserve was part of the Newington Royal Australian Navy Armament Depot before it became part of the Parklands of Sydney Olympic Park in September 2000. It is comprised of the Wanngal Wetland and the Wanngal Woodland.
