This view of Carlton railway station platforms is from the concourse, in the southern suburb of Carlton. It is serviced by the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line. This heritage listed station was built in 1889 as part of the Illawarra Line from Redfern to Hurstville. This photo was taken ten years ago before the benches and signs were updated.
I like the color red that the train stations are painted!
ReplyDeleteLove the welcoming bright red paint. This looks like a neat, tidy little station.
ReplyDeleteNice station.
ReplyDeleteI spent my early childhood in Carlton Melbourne, but I didn't realise Sydney had a suburb with the same name.
ReplyDeleteI do sometimes wish they were a little bit more creative with suburb names.
DeleteSo beautiful station.
ReplyDeleteDid you take this during quarantine? It's pretty deserted.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
It was taken on a quiet weekend afternoon, a few years ago.
DeleteSo bright! It looks cheery.
ReplyDeleteHow charming.
