This art installation on a lamp post along Barrack Street is one of the temporary public artworks created as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic to enliven civic spaces. "Giant Badges" was created by Adam Norton and features a series of slogans in the form of giant badges. The badges have an immediate sense of nostalgia to them, but their bright, pop construction placed in the present city centre creates new twisted meanings.
A cute idea :) The brains need to smile after lockdowns .. or they go to mush.
