Surry Hills, light rail stop (Theme Day: Road)

The Surry Hills Light Rail Stop is located along Devonshire Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. It is part of the CBD and South East Light Rail Service, made up of the L2 Randwick Light Rail line and L3 Kingsford Light Rail line which run from Circular Quay. The light rail line has taken over this road with only one lane on the left reserved for traffic now.

    1. I took this shot right after two trams had just stopped there and picked up all the passengers. There were more arriving there a few minutes later.

  3. That is the big move here too to put the rapid transit in one lane and the cars in the other. Good choice for the theme, Jim.

    1. Yes and no. The original line was completely shut down for a few months last year when they discovered cracks in many of the carriages. Seems to be rectified now.
