Marrickville, art

This mural is on the side wall of a tyre shop on the corner of Cook Road and Brompton Street, in the inner west suburb of Marrickville. It's terrible when street art is vandalised by talentless taggers, so don't zoom in if you are sensitive about coarse language.

  1. It was beautiful at one time and I can see that at least the top where the taggers couldn't reach, it is still a lovely mural.

  2. It's lovely and colourful. What a pity about the senseless tagging! Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Jim.

  3. I noticed the graffiti immediately. Shame on them for defiling this beautiful street art.

  4. Street art is some of the best art. Straight from the heart. These graffiti goons makes me so angry. Our hometown has because a real mess with drugs and evil politics but street artists have brightened up the river banks with some interesting art you can see from an overpass on the highway. Use your energy for good not evil. Thank you for sharing Jim.

  5. I love seeing art everywhere but I hate to see the graffiti. SO very sad people are so miserable and have no desire to do any good. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I like it, it's a bit 80s and yes art like this should never been tagged on
