The Commonwealth Bank of Australia building along Martin Place has been lit up for the Vivid Sydney Festival which is running from 22 May to 18 June 2016. Vivid Sydney is a festival of light, music and ideas now in its eighth year and the biggest festival of its type in the world. The Commonwealth Bank building was built in 1928 in the Beaux-Arts Revivalist architectural style. It fronts Martin Place on the south, Elizabeth Street on the east and Castlereagh Street on the west.
