Circular Quay, Vivid Sydney
This artwork was located along the Circular Quay foreshore during the Vivid Sydney Festival. The heads on these dogs were both a light source and a reflecting prism where visitors could see their own head reflected inside. The Sydney Harbour Bridge provided a spectacular backdrop.
I have never seen such an interactive sculpture! I guess it works best by night! What a creative idea with the glory of harbour lights and shadows as a backdrop!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo!
ReplyDeleteFor ten years ago a taxi driver told me to close my eyes, after 5 min he said look. And I was at that point you took the picture! A wounderful way to see Sydney and Australia for the first time! The opera and the bridge in the evening, I never forget it!
Thank you !
Your night shots/shadows the past few weeks have been totally awesome, Jim and I have enjoyed them SO much!! Hope your weekend has gone well!

ReplyDeleteNice piece of art. Like it.
ReplyDeleteThe chartreuse glow leaves a matching shadow. The Harbour Bridge is amazing even at the distance - a number of shadows fall inside and outside the steel cables. An amazing urban landscape!
