Dulwich Hill, apartments

This commercial and residential building is located on the corner of Wardell Road and Ewart Street, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. 'Nea Zoi' was built in 2019 with shops on the ground floor and apartments above. This photo was taken a couple of years ago when Alevri, a Greek cafe and bakery was operating on the corner.

Dulwich Hill, sculpture

"Moonman" is a sculpture outside Dulwich Hill Public School in Kintore Street Reserve, which was created by Adam Galea in 2012. It is located on the corner of Hercules Street and Kintore Street, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. Because it is located near the primary school, the artist chose to create something based on the nursery rhyme 'The Sandman', which has a line about the man in the moon. He was inspired to create the moon man as a sentinel or guardian for the site, who serves as a beacon to soothe, protect and inspire those who wonder by.

Dulwich Hill, St Paul of the Cross, hall

 The former St Paul of the Cross Catholic church, now the parish hall, is located along New Canterbury Road, in the inner west suburb of Dulwich Hill. It was built in 1909 in the Federation style beside the current church built in 1925 and has also served as a school. The hall has a contemporary extension on the right.

The presbytery behind it was built in 1911 as a one storey bungalow in the Federation style. The cottage was extended in 1937 with the addition of a second storey.

The shelters along this line feature perforated metal screen artwork by local artist Graham Chalcroft, inspired by native birds seen in the adjacent GreenWay bushcare site. A graffiti artist has also created some insect art on the building above.
