Carss Park, baths

Millers Point, Nita McCrae Park

Looking across Nita McCrae Park to Abraham Mott Hall, along Argyle Street, in the inner city suburb of Millers Point. The heritage listed building was built in 1904 in the Federation Arts and Crafts style as the Coal Lumpers' Hall for the Coal Lumpers' Union and is now used as a community building. The skyscrapers in the distance are in Barangaroo.

Rozelle, motorway stacks

Looking across Rozelle Park to three chimney stacks above motorways in the inner west suburb of Rozelle. The Rozelle Interchange is an underground junction of the M4 and M8 Motorways which link to Anzac Bridge and the Western Distributor. The stacks were designed by architect Chris Fox as part of Rozelle Parklands, a 10-hectare (25-acre) open green space. It opened in 2023 and features wetlands, a village green, recreation areas and barbecue facilities.

Coogee, picnic shelter

This picnic shelter is in Goldstein Reserve, in the eastern suburb of Coogee. It looks out onto Coogee Beach and the Pacific Ocean.

Sutherland, sculpture

This sculpture is located in the middle of Peace Park, in the southern suburb of Sutherland. It consists of a forest of animated totems in the children's play area with dynamic bush and beach motifs of the district.

Cronulla, Oak Park Pavilion

Oak Park Pavilion is located in the southern suburb of Cronulla. It was built in 1939 by W.F. Foster and Co. in the art deco style. The building is located along The Esplanade, on the edge of Oak Park, overlooking a small beach and rock pool. This beach pavilion has change rooms, showers and public toilets. I took a photo of this fourteen years ago and the difference can be seen here.

Darling Harbour, Tumbalong Park

 
This fountain runs through the middle of Tumbalong Park at Darling Harbour. Children are often seen playing here but sometimes adults use it to cool down.

This sandstone bus shelter is located at Cristison Park, along Old South Head Road in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. The cliffs on the edge of this park at South Head provide views of the Pacific Ocean.

Pyrmont, Darling Island Wharf, apartments

A sunset view of Darling Island Apartments and Ballaarat Park on Darling Island Wharf at Pyrmont Bay, in the inner city suburb of Pyrmont. The warehouse buildings on the wharves were were once part of Sydney's port facilities and have been redeveloped into apartments, office space and restaurants.

Eveleigh, Entry Garden

A view of Entry Garden, with walkways and stairs which are a direct gateway from South Eveleigh up to Redfern railway station, in the inner city suburb of Eveleigh. In the distance is the heritage listed water tower and The Watertower apartments, formerly McMurtrie's shoe factory. The walls feature a tribute to Chisholm's Estate and Hutchison's Estate which were the names of the properties that later became the suburbs of Eveleigh and Redfern.

This Christmas Tree is located in Cook Park, behind Lady Robinsons Beach along Botany Bay, in the southern suburb of Brighton-Le-Sands.

Carss Park, boardwalk

This boardwalk is located in Carss Bush Park in the southern suburb of Carss Park. The Carss Park Boardwalk was designed to allow visitors to view delicate salt marshes and rock pools in Kogarah Bay without disturbing the environment.

Cabarita, playground

This playground is located in Prince Edward Park, located at the end of Phillips Streer in the inner west suburb of Cabarita. It recreates a wharf to a boat, perhaps on nearby Hen and Chicken Bay.
