These poles are remnants of an old structure and if you look closely, you can see a cormorant with outstretched wings sunning itself on the first pole.

This view across one of the ponds is towards the chimney stacks at the north-west corner of the park, near St Peters. A fallen tree trunk has become lodged on the cascade and sprouted new leaves.

This bike track was located in Sydney Park, a large recreational area in the inner city suburb of Alexandria. It was used by children to learn road rules, traffic signs and signals. It is currently being redeveloped into a skate park but there will also be a new bike track. The Sydney skyline can be seen in the distance.

Sydney Park, chimneys

The sun sets behind the chimneys at Sydney Park, in the inner city suburb of Alexandria, on the border with St Peters. These were once part of the brickworks which operated here from 1840 until 1970 before being redeveloped as parkland and wetlands.
