Cronulla, mural
This mural of a dystopian beach and life saver is on the wall of a car park along Croydon Street in the southern suburb of Cronulla. It was created in 2019 by street artist Eli Reskov, aka Phool. It is part of the Walk the Walls Street Art Festival, where established and emerging street artists were recruited to paint murals, as part of a large crime prevention program to stop graffiti and vandalism.

Looking across the railway station platforms in the inner city suburb of Redfern. The station was upgraded in 2024 to feature a new southern concourse with six new lifts and stair access to Platforms 1-10.

Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club

Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club is located at South Cronulla Beach, in the southern suburb of Cronulla. The original art deco building was designed by A.B. Polin in a European Functionalist style and built in 1940 at the southern end of Cronulla Park.

Cronulla Beach
This beach is the southernmost patrolled beach in the southern suburb of Cronulla. It is simply known as Cronulla Beach but is also referred to as South Cronulla Beach. Cronulla Pavilion and Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club overlook the beach.

Waterloo, art
This mural is on eastern concourse wall of the Waterloo metro station, an underground station in the inner city suburb of Waterloo. The station is on the Sydney Metro North West & Bankstown Line and opened in 2024 when the Metro North West Line was extended from Chatswood to Sydenham via Central. The 9.7-metre-high portrait is of an Aboriginal boy named Roscoe, a young dancer from the local Brolga Dance Academy with traditional body paint, holding a boomerang. The black-and-white, perforated metal artwork was created by artist Nicole Monks with photographer Wayne Quilliam and celebrates local Indigenous culture and youth as future leaders.

Brighton-Le-Sands, Botany Bay (Theme Day: Photo of the Year)
A view of Lady Robinsons Beach, along the shore of Botany Bay, in the southern suburb of Brighton-Le-Sands. A couple is having some fun taking photos in the water as a walker strolls past. I featured a similar photo during the year which was taken a few minutes earlier with their young child which can be seen here.
