These lights have been installed above Pitt Street Mall for the festive season. The heritage Glasshouse building can be seen through them with Westfield Sydney Centrepoint in the distance.

St Mary's Cathedral, The Lights of Christmas
The facade of St Mary's Cathedral featured "The Lights of Christmas", a light projection show which ran from 10 December 2015 until 25 December 2015. This view is across Cathedral Square in Cook and Philip Park, near College Street. The projections have become a tradition here over the past six years and this year included the theme "The Holly and the Ivy" from the traditional Christmas carol that is layered with meaning. This is my last look at the light projections for this year.

General Post Office, Christmas Projections
The General Post Office (GPO) building is located at 1 Martin Place between George Street and Pitt Street. This year, the GPO facade and clock tower featured Christmas Projections a light projection show which ran from 26th November until 25th December 2015. They featured various Christmas and Sydney themes.

Commercial Banking Company and Bank of New South Wales, Christmas Projections
The former Commercial Banking Company Head Office and the former Bank of New South Wales Head Office are located on George Street, between Barrack Street and Wynyard Street, opposite Martin Place. The facades of these buildings featured Christmas Projections, a light projection show from 26th November until 25th December 2015. They featured various Christmas, Sydney and Australian themes.

This year's theme was "Light is Life", since the United Nations has encouraged us to celebrate 2015, throughout the world, as the International Year of Light.

Haymarket, Market City, snow globe
This giant snow globe has been installed in the centre court of the Market City shopping centre, above Paddy's Markets at Haymarket. This 6 metres high, 8.5 metres wide life-size snow globe features a Christmas scene with powerful air-conditioning units and snow machines to keep things cool.

In acknowledgement of the International Year of Light, the Madonna and Child are being celebrated as symbols of guiding lights to mankind.

Enmore, St Luke's Anglican Church
St Luke's Anglican Church is located along Stanmore Road, in the inner west suburb of Enmore. It was built in 1882 and was originally known as Christ Church until 1963 when it was renamed to avoid confusion with the Church of Christ denomination.

Barangaroo Reserve, Munn's Slipway
This reconstructed foreshore at Nawi Cove, is located at Barangaroo Reserve, in the inner city suburb of Barangaroo. During reconstruction, remnants of a slipway where James Munn developed a shipyard in the late 1820s were found here. As a memorial, Munn's Slipway C.1927 has been carved into the large sandstone blocks.

Barangaroo Reserve, Harbour Control Tower
The Sydney Ports Harbour Control Tower rises above Barangaroo Reserve, in the inner city suburb of Barangaroo. The tower was once used by the Sydney Harbour port facilities before they were moved to Port Botany. The former concrete industrial container terminal was transformed into a foreshore park, with a naturalistic rocky outcrop recreated and landscaped with native trees and shrubs. I posted a photo of the site before redevelopment last week, which can be seen here.

“Housing Bubble” is a mural on the facade of a recently redeveloped building on the corner of Enmore Road and Station Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. This building was once home to Newtown RSL (Returned and Services League) Club and is now a boutique hotel. The mural was created by street artist Fintan Magee.

Newtown, fire station
Newtown Fire Station is located along Australia Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. It was designed by Spain, Cosh and Minnett and built in 1913 in the Federation Free architectural style. In 1984, the building was altered when a third storey was demolished.
