The Domain, Paradiegma Metaphysic

"Paradiegma Metaphysic" is an art installation by Paul Selwood located beside Mrs Macquaries Road at The Domain, just outside the Royal Botanic Gardens. This sculpture was the winner of the major prize at Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney in 2011 and is part of a scheme to display the winners of that competition in the Botanic Gardens or adjoining Domain for ten years before being moved on to other public gardens.

Enfield, St Thomas Anglican Church

St Thomas Anglican Church and Cemetery are located along Coronation Parade, in the inner west suburb of Enfield. This heritage listed church was designed by John Frederick Hilly and built in 1848 in the Gothic architectural style.

Castlereagh Street, shop

The Atlas Clock above the Castlereagh Street entrance of jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co. is a reproduction of the Atlas Clock installed in 1853 above the entrance of the New York City store. It is located on the ground floor of 39 Martin Place, a 22-storey office block built in 1972 which will be demolished to allow underground construction of a new Sydney Metro line. In Greek mythology, Atlas was a Titan condemned to hold up the sky for eternity.

Woolloomooloo, Sculpture On the Wharf

Sculpture On the Wharf was an outdoor exhibition that was recently at the Finger Wharf and promenade, in the inner city suburb of Woolloomooloo. "Elipse" and "Elipse 3" by David Ball stood along the promenade with "Helix" also by David Ball, in the distance.

Anzac Bridge, Anzac Memorial, Anzac Day

The Anzac Memorial stands at the western approach of the Anzac Bridge at Rozelle. The bronze sculpture of an Australian ANZAC soldier was unveiled on ANZAC Day in 2000 faces west in the "rest on arms reverse" drill position holding a Lee-Enfield rifle. A sculpture of a New Zealand ANZAC soldier facing east was added to a plinth on the opposite side of the road in 2008. Both statues were created by Alan Somerville, with sand collected from Ari Burnu beach in Gallipolli, Turkey placed underneath. Today is ANZAC Day, which marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War in 1915.

Liverpool, Memorial School of Arts

The Memorial School of Arts is located in Macquarie Street, in the south western suburb of Liverpool. This heritage listed building was built in 1924 in the Inter-War Georgian Revival architectural style as a memorial to World War 1 veterans.

Liverpool, library

The Liverpool City Library is located along George Street, in the south western suburb of Liverpool. The John Edmondsen VC Memorial clock commemorates the sacrifice of Corporal Edmondson who was awarded the first Victoria Cross of World War II. It is inscribed with the names of the fallen from the Boer War, World War I and World War II. It was originally located at the south end of Macquarie Street, but in 1988 it was moved to the Liverpool City Library forecourt.

Gladesville, cottages

The sandstone cottages are located beside the main gate of the former Gladesville Hospital, along Punt Road in the lower north shore suburb of Gladesville. This heritage listed cottages were built around 1874 in the Gothic Revival architectural style and were extended in 1910 and had verandahs enclosed in 1950. They were originally doctors' residences and are now used as a child care centre.

Gladesville, workshop

This mural has been painted on the side wall of an auto panel beater and painter workshop located on the corner of Victoria Road and Gerald Street, in the lower north shore suburb of Gladesville. It depicts a four wheel drive and trailer driving into the outback towards Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, a large sandstone rock formation in the southern part of the Northern Territory in central Australia. To the left is another car travelling from the city and to the right are waterfalls in a rainforest.

Leichhardt, Congregational Church

Leichhardt Congregational Church is located on the corner of Allen Street and Elswick Street in the inner west suburb of Leichhardt. It was designed by Harry C Kent and built in 1911 in the Federation Gothic architectural style.

Gladesville, Bedlam Point Wharf

This wharf is located at Bedlam Point on the Parramatta River, in the lower north shore suburb of Gladesville. It can be accessed from Punt Road through Banjo Paterson Park. The name Bedlam is a corruption of Bethlam from Bethlehem, which was the name of England's first lunatic asylum and may relate to the nearby former Gladesville Mental Hospital

Gladesville, Our Lady Queen of Peace

Our Lady Queen of Peace is located on the corner of Victoria Road and Westminster Road, in the lower north shore suburb of Gladesville. The first part of the Church was completed and dedicated in 1925 as Our Lady of Peace. Further additions were made to this building in 1929 and it became known as Our Lady Queen of Peace in 1946.

Millers Point, Grazcos Wool Store

The former Grazcos Wool Store building is located along Windmill Street, in the inner city suburb of Millers Point. The name on the sign comes from the Graziers Co-op Shearing Company Limited which was registered in 1919. It changed its name in September 1948 to Grazcos Co-operative Ltd. It is now used for commercial space and is home to an advertising agency.

Rozelle, White Bay Power Station

This view of the White Bay Power Station is from Victoria Road, in the inner city suburb of Rozelle. Sitting on the shore of White Bay, this heritage listed former coal-fired power station was commissioned in 1917 and decommissioned in 1983. It is currently owned by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority which is undertaking necessary preservation work to reduce further degradation and ensure the potential for future uses. Museum of Contemporary Art, The Arrival of Demons

This mural is part of an ongoing program of wall works commissioned for the Circular Quay foyer of the Mordant Wing of the Museum of Contemporary Art. "The Arrival of Demons" was created by Khadim Ali in 2017 and features characters based on the hero Rostam from the tenth-century epic poem Shahnama/The Book of Kings, which can embody both good and evil but here appear without wings, giving them a more sage-like presence.

Paddington, St Matthias Church Hall

St Matthias Church Hall is located long Oxford Street, near St Matthias Anglican Church, in the eastern suburb of Paddington. This heritage listed building was built in the late 1800s in the Victorian Academic Gothic architectural style. It was modified as part of road widening works during the 1950s where the façade was removed and a new façade built. The shape of the central window was changed to a circular form, brick detailing was lost and corner buttresses deleted.

Pyrmont, Johnstons Bay

The view across Johnstons Bay to the North Shore, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the inner city suburb of Pyrmont is from the walkway on Anzac Bridge. Waterfront Park can be seen along the foreshore and the disused swing bridge, Glebe Island Bridge, is seen permanently open in the foreground.

Museum of Contemporary Art, entrance

The main entrance of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, located on the corner of George Street and Circular Quay Way at The Rocks. The heritage listed building was designed in the Inter-War Stripped Classical architectural style in 1939 but wasn't constructed until 1946-1952. It was built to accomodate the Maritime Services Board and in 1991 opened as the Museum of Contemporary of Art. The sandstone sculpture by Lyndon Dadswell and various metal-work elements enchance the entry area.

Darlington, The Old School, fountain


This granite water fountain or bubbler is located near the gates of The Old School, part of the University of Sydney campus, in the inner city suburb of Darlington. It was originally the Darlington Public School designed by George Allan Mansfield and built in 1878 in the Gothic Revival architectural style. At the end of 1975 the school, which was in a poor state of repair, was transferred to the university. The building was renovated in 1978 for use by the Department of Music and as a theatre workshop. The inscription reads: "Erected to the Memory of David and Jessie Edward, pioneer residents of Darlington".

Sydney Olympic Park, railway station

The main entrance of Sydney Olympic Park railway station which serves the stadiums in the western suburb of Homebush Bay. It was designed by Hassell architects and built in 1998 for the 2000 Summer Olympic Games. It is an underground station that is located on a balloon loop. There are limited services on weekdays from Lidcombe station and regular services from other stations during special events.

The Rocks, Gloucester Street, mural

This mural has been painted on the wall of the Cahill Expressway, where it crosses Gloucester Street, at The Rocks. A description has been painted on the mural: Gloucester Street looking towards the city from this point, 1901. Gloucester Street had been created in 1810. It formalised a track that skirted around houses built on the rocky ridge between here and Cumberland Street. The Cahill Expressway cut Gloucester Street in half in 1956-57.
