Sydney Olympic Park, railway station

The main entrance of Sydney Olympic Park railway station which serves the stadiums in the western suburb of Homebush Bay. It was designed by Hassell architects and built in 1998 for the 2000 Summer Olympic Games. It is an underground station that is located on a balloon loop. There are limited services on weekdays from Lidcombe station and regular services from other stations during special events.

  7. This doesn't look like a railway station at all. It looks like a larger venue. Seems like the city went all out for the games. #OurWorldTuesday

  8. I like the architecture. It looks like an amphitheatre. A concert might go well here if they removed the ticket gates.
