The Rocks, Christmas Village

 
This Christmas decoration is located along George Street, outside the former Coroner's Court, in The Rocks. ‘Christmas Village’ is an artwork created by illustrator and muralist Nico Nicoson. These miniature buildings are modelled on the historic buildings found within the sandstone laneways of The Rocks, decorated with an essence of an Australian Christmas.

The Rocks, Christmas Tree

This Christmas Tree is located in Jack Mundey Place, a pedestrian mall at The Rocks. The seven-metre-tall tree features native flowers in warm tones of yellows and pinks, created by Nadia Duran. The wooden baubles have been designed by Wiradjuri artist, Shelby-Rae Lyons. The clock tower rises above Clocktower Square, on the corner of Harrington Street and Argyle Street.

Circular Quay, ship and cruiser


A view of a cruise ship berthed at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, looking towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge from a Circular Quay ferry wharf. "Celebrity Edge" is an Edge-class cruise ship operated by Celebrity Cruises. "Element" is a 25m motor yacht which can be chartered as an executive entertainer on Sydney Harbour or long-range luxury cruiser.

Surry Hills, St Sophia Greek Orthodox Church


St Sophia Greek Orthodox Church is located along Bourke Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. This heritage listed church was originally built as a Congregational Church known as St Sophia and Her Three Daughters. It was designed by William Boles and built in 1880 in the Victorian Gothic style.

The Resurrection of Christ Greek Orthodox Church is in the southern suburb of Kogarah. It was constructed in the 1980s but the facade was refurbished in 2021. The original brick facade can be seen here.

Hurstville, Memorial Square


Memorial Square is located along Forest Road, in the southern suburb of Hurstville. The Hurstville War Memorial in the centre of the square was erected in 1922 to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action during World War One. 'Electricity House' is the office building built in 1939 in the art deco style for the St George County Council, the local area electricity supply utility. It is now home to a branch of the Bank of China.

Rockdale, Gujaga Park, sculpture


This sculpture is located in Gujaga Park, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. It features depictions of threatened species of birds in the state with their general name and scientific name. These are Black Tailed Godwit, Powerful Owl, Great Egret, Little Tern and Australasian Bittern.

Pitt Street, Sugar House

 
This heritage listed building was built on the site of Sydney's first sugar exchange, on the corner of Pitt Street and King Street. It was built in 1879 in the Victorian Italianate style as a hotel known as "Trickett's Hotel", later renamed "Kings Hotel". It was adapted to commercial use after its closure and renamed "Sugar House" with various tenants. Pedestrians are waiting to cross at the intersection and cyclists wait in the bicycle lane.

Surry Hills, art

 
This artwork is on the side and back walls of The Colourful House of Surry Hills, a former warehouse along South Dowling Street beside Wimbo Park, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. It was created in 2018 by street artist Thierry Noir. The warehouse was converted into a single private residence by businessman John Winning, owner of an appliances business. His close friend, American techno DJ Seth Troxler commissioned the artwork which covers the whole building.
