The Ukranian memorial is in Rookwood Necropolis, the largest multicultural cemetery in the southern hemisphere, in the western suburb of Rookwood.

    1. Sandi, I tried translating the Ukrainian letters and I think it says something like "to the fallen for the freedom of Ukraine".

  2. I first saw that cross in Russia, and was intrigued. This one is beautiful.

  3. What a beautiful and distinctive cross! Many thanks for sharing it with All Seasons this week! If it was for the Ukrainian fallen, they must have helped Australia in their fight to freedom? Don't know anything about that part of history. We never should forget sacrifices freedom fighters have made! Have a beautiful week! Jesh~

    1. Jesh, I think it just refers to the freedom of Ukraine but not necessarily Australia specifically helping them obtain it.

  4. Wonderful find. Thanks for linking to Blue Monday.

  5. Looks a bit like the commonwealth warngraves cross of victory
