This surf shop at Maroubra Beach is located along Marine Parade, in the eastern suburb of Maroubra. The building was formerly a tram shelter at the Maroubra Bay Tram Terminus for tram services which ran from the city from 1921 to 1961.

I can see its origins in the architecture.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use for an old tram shelter. At first I thought it had been a changing room along the beach.
ReplyDeleteIs it still raining?
ReplyDeleteIt stopped raining in Sydney today after a record-breaking 16 days and amount of rain. The sun was out in the afternoon and we should have sun for a couple more days. Unfortunately more rain is predicted for the weekend which would be bad for this already seriously water-logged city and state.
DeleteGlad to hear that!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure being in Bondi it's a very popular shop.
ReplyDeleteIt's Maroubra which is another eastern suburbs beach.
DeleteI love that it's still there and being used.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your link at My Corner of the World this week!
