The Murama Dance Ground is a functional indigenous art installation at Newington Armory, in the western suburb of Sydney Olympic Park. It is located between the Wangal Walk and the Armory Leisure Fields and provides the community with a safe place to gather and participate in cultural and spiritual activities. There is a cauldron in the centre and four totem poles around the edge of the circle.

ReplyDeleteInteresting. I have watched Native American performers dance in a circular formation so I am imagining that this would be a place for something like that.
