Arncliffe, fire station

Arncliffe Fire Station, located on West Botany Street close to the Wickham Street intersection, was built in 2006. It replaced Rockdale Fire Station, built in 1938, which itself replaced the original Arncliffe Fire Station on the corner of Forest Road and Farrar Street, built in 1909.

  1. Your fire station photographs are great! The Rockdale Fire Station (built 1938) was closed in July 2006 when the Brigade moved to the new Arncliffe Fire Station and changed its name to the Arncliffe Fire Brigade.

  2. Janette, thanks for that extra information. I'll add it to the post.
