Kogarah, Community Centre
Kogarah Community Aid and Information Centre is located on the corner of Railway Parade and Belgrade Street, in the southern suburb of Kogarah. The turreted building was designed by government architect Walter L Vernon in the Federation Queen Anne style and built in 1892. This heritage listed building was formerly the site of the Kogarah Post Office until 1974.

Yes, it really is a shame there isn't enough thought put into new developments. We hardly ever see any landmark buildings built any more. There's so many shonky developments going up these days that are so bad that they need to be renovated only a few years later.

ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to come to the city on the great cyber slide. Interesting places which I would never see or know about. There are such pretty buildings tucked away.
