Pyrmont Casino, ferry wharf

The Pyrmont Casino ferry wharf is located on Pyrmont Bay opposite The Star casino, in the inner city suburb of Pyrmont. This is a temporary wharf during the reconstruction of the nearby Pyrmont Bay Wharfbeside the Australian National Maritime Museumover the next few months. The Scarborough is a First Fleet Class ferry acquired in 1986, which is part of the Sydney Ferries fleet that operates on the Inner Harbour. It was named Scarborough, after one of eleven ships of the First Fleet that sailed to Australia in 1787.

  1. Scarborough's made a presence known elsewhere in the world from its original roots. There's a portion of the city of Toronto by that name.

  2. I remember my first ride on a ferry. I was amazed when our bus drove onto the ferry, followed by a semi next to us.

    1. Linda, these ferries are not quite that large but the ride is probably more exciting with a smaller vessel.
