Looking across Mort Bay to the Waterview Wharf Workshops at Balmain East and the Sydney city skyline in the background from Ballast Point, in the inner west suburb of Birchgrove. The Borrowdale is a First Fleet Class ferry, which is part of the Sydney Ferries fleet travelling out of Circular Quay. It's seen here travelling towards Balmain ferry wharf.
We saw those brightly coloured buildings (or others like them) on the water's edge just a while back. They look even more impressive when photographed from farther away.
ReplyDeleteGreat with the classic colors on the ferry.
ReplyDeletegreat shot. I love the ferry.

That is a proper ferry.
ReplyDeleteThose harbour ferries are like an icon of Sydney in their green and gold. Lovely view.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaah those ferries - what would the bay of Sydney be without them? I hate to think of the day they might have to go into retirement.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great way to commute.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful water. I'd love to be taking a journey on that ferry right now, and then spend a day in your lovely city!

Love the colors!!
ReplyDeleteI love this view - the big city skyline is impressive, but the old style ferry and houses on the bay make the big city almost manageable in feel. The mighty and the less mighty coexist nicely here!
ReplyDeleteLove this boat and city view behind.
ReplyDeleteI like the warm light and feeling of layers in this picture.
ReplyDeleteVery nice view and thanks so much for letting us discover your beautiful city !
ReplyDeleteexcellent.
