Sculpture On the Wharf is an outdoor exhibition at the Finger Wharf and promenade in the inner city suburb of Woolloomooloo. "Tranquility" by Andrew Kasper stands on the wharf, with the Finger Wharf and Woolloomooloo marina as a backdrop. The signs along the edge of the wharf are a regular feature.
A fine shot of this interesting sculpture found in a suprising place.
ReplyDeleteI am oddly reminded of a cork screw.
ReplyDelete...now say that fast 10 times!
ReplyDeleteYou have such great sculpture shows there!
ReplyDeleteGuess you can't fish and drink beer on this dock.
ReplyDeleteGood location for the signage.
ReplyDeleteMy SIGNS, SIGNS
What a nice looking wharf, the buildings on the right remind me of those in Auckland city.
ReplyDeleteI imagine those were also working wharves which have been converted for a new use.
DeleteAha!!! It's a nice example of a squiggly thing. Remember Woolloomooloo well from my Navy days
ReplyDeleteLove the dynamics of that swirly sculpture and it works in so well with the watery setting.
ReplyDeleteNice captured
ReplyDeleteHi Jim, I have seen the chain link sculpture on Finger Wharf in Sydney. Would love to know pricing as I would like a sculpture of my own. It doesn't need to be the same size as the one on the Wharf.
ReplyDeleteDenis, I don't know much about the individual artworks at the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf exhibition but if you click on the link in the post you can go to the ArtPark gallery website where you could find this info.
