The entrance and clock tower of Petersham Town Hall, located on the corner of Crystal Street and Frederick Street, in the inner west suburb of Petersham. It was designed by Rudder & Grout and built in 1938 in the art deco and inter-war style.
I like the look of this building. Crisp clean lines and, as William said, quite distinctive. Thanks for linking up at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2020/12/i-miss-fall-colors.html
It seems my comment to you disappeared while i typed it. It's so very wonderful to see you back at #NatashaMusing with a #WW post. It really has been long.
This architecture of the clock tower reminds me of the one we had in the university campus where I grew up. It stood regally next to the library.
I'm going live again tomorrow IST. See you around. The linky stays open right up till the week after next, Monday.
Quite distinctive.

What an amazing building.
ReplyDeleteI love Deco in any case, but Petersham Town Hall looks taller and brickier than I would have expected from, say, 1930.
You should see view from up top
DeleteUnique. That's quite a tower!
ReplyDeleteSuch an unusual bit of architecture. I don't think I've seen anything quite like it before.
ReplyDeleteYour link at 'My Corner of the World' this week is an exciting addition! Thanks for joining us!
Simple and neat looking. Goes well for a town hall.
