Sydney Town Hall, Tusk Lion Trail

The Tusk Lion Trail is an art event which is a global celebration of African lions and the people who live alongside them. The 47 life-sized lion sculptures were designed and made by artists, musicians and sportspeople around the world to highlight the threats currently faced by lions and to raise funds to support community conservation and livelihoods impacted by Covid-19 across Africa. The artworks have been located in London, Bristol, Edinburgh (UK), The Hamptons (USA), Wellington (New Zealand), Dubai (UAE), Nairobi (Kenya) and Sydney (Australia). ‘Civilian Warrior’ by David Griggs, is now on display outside Sydney Town Hall.

  1. Interesting. The emblem of Jerusalem is also lion, which represents the "Lion of Judah", the symbol of the Tribe of Judah. We have similar models around the city.

  2. That's an interesting sculpture. He looks determined :))

  3. Very cool, I love the Lion, I didn't know it had been here in NZ
