Cambells Cove, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Vivid Sydney (Theme Day: Photo of the Year)

My favourite photo from the past year was during the Vivid Sydney festival, at Campbells Cove at The Rocks. "Future Natives" are animated light sculpture of stylised native birds, created by Chris Daniel. The colours change to represent the Crimson Rosella, Rainbow Lorikeet, Sacred Kingfisher, King Parrot, Galah, Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo, Eastern Rosella, Red-rumped Parrot, Glossy Black Cockatoo, and Little Corella. The light show on the Sydney Harbour Bridge is called "Our Connected City" and was created by Mandylights. I featured a similar photo during the year which was taken minutes earlier and can be seen here

  1. Sydney fireworks is always spectacular. I was working in hospital, so I have no chance to find out what happened there

  2. Happy New Year Jim. Vivid looks like a spectacular show these days. I might try it this year.

  3. That's a great shot, we heard only a couple of fireworks go off here but it was a relatively quiet night overall.
