These art installations on lamp posts were along Barrack Street as temporary public artworks created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic to enliven civic spaces. "Giant Badges" was created by Adam Norton and featured a series of slogans. The giant badges have an immediate sense of nostalgia to them, but their bright, pop construction placed in the present city centre created new twisted meanings. They have since been removed and the others can be seen here, here and here.
