The entrance to the former Locomotive Workshops, part of the former Eveleigh Railway Yards along Locomotive Street, in the inner city suburb of Eveleigh. The signage piece features three large sculptural drums inspired by train driving wheels, consisting of weathered corten steel with a black welded wire mesh used as planters. The heritage listed Engine Shop was built in 1907 as a workshop to construct new locomotive engines. It now houses the National Innovation Centre, an entrepreneurial hub which provides laboratory space where start-up company dreams can become reality.
