This emergency response beacon has been installed along Lady Robinsons Beach at Botany Bay in the southern suburb of Dolls Point. This beach is not patrolled by life guards but a rescue tube is provided here. The solar-powered, 4G/5G-enabled, yellow units feature a 24/7 call button, microphone, camera, and loudspeaker to directly alert the Surf Life Saving State Operations Centre to emergencies. I recently discovered an emergency response beacon was installed in Brighton-Le-Sands and this is the other one at the bay.

That's a great idea, have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting. With the solar power, I wonder how long the battery lasts during cloudy, rainy days when there is little to no sunshine.
