Petersham, railway station

This view of a train is from footbridge above the platforms of the railway station in the inner west suburb of Petersham. The station opened in 1857 and is served by Sydney Trains T2 Leppington & Inner West Line and occasional T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line services. This train, however, is running on one of the other lines which passes through but does not stop at this station.

  1. I like this photo! Not just because of the shadows. I only have a freight train that runs through town, stopping at the mill and the grain elevator. That makes it sound like a rural place, but it really isn't!
