The Parkview Hotel is located on the corner of Mitchell Road and Harley Street, in the inner city suburb of Alexandria. The Parkview Hotel was originally built in 1898, as a perfect example of an old English Tavern.

Arncliffe Fire Station, located on West Botany Street close to the Wickham Street intersection, was built in 2006. It replaced Rockdale Fire Station, built in 1938, which itself replaced the original Arncliffe Fire Station on the corner of Forest Road and Farrar Street, built in 1909.

'Teluba' is a Victorian style vila on the corner of Segenhoe Street and Avenal Street, in the southern suburb of Arncliffe. It is now used by the St George School Education Office in the grounds of Arncliffe Public School.

East Hills

East Hills is a southwestern suburb, located on the northern side of the Georges River. Before it was developed, East Hills was the name once used to describe the whole area south of Bankstown to the Georges River and east to The River Road. Chinese New Year celebrations are held around Chinatown. A new lantern float has been created every year for the animal that represents that year of the Chinese zodiac. These lanterns are used in the Chinese New Year parade and then displayed at Belmore Park, opposite Central railway station, for a week of celebrations.
