Concord, Uniting Church

This Uniting Church is located on the corner of Concord Road and Sydney Street, in the western suburb of Concord. This heritage listed church was designed by J.C.R. Mills and built in 1927 in the Inter-War Romanesque style. It was a Methodist Church until 1977 when the Congregational Union in Australia, the Methodist Church of Australasia and the Presbyterian Church of Australia joined together to form the Uniting Church in Australia. It is now a Sydney Cheil (Korean) Uniting Church. It's a shame they've now erected a giant road sign which blocks the view from the main road.

Marrickville, art

This mural is on the side wall of a tyre shop on the corner of Cook Road and Brompton Street, in the inner west suburb of Marrickville. It's terrible when street art is vandalised by talentless taggers, so don't zoom in if you are sensitive about coarse language.
