Coogee, Dolphin Point

Dolphin Point at Coogee Beach, bathed in golden light at dusk, in the eastern suburb of Coogee.

  1. quiet different from your other sunny photos of the beach... this one must be when the sun is setting, it's lovely

  2. Its beautiful, I love that dusk light. Thanks for sharing:)

  3. See the lovely doorway above the cliff - was that ever attached to anything? If it was originally built as it stands now, what was its intended purpose?

My husband is an old Bondi lad. Your photos of Bondi and Coogee remind him fondly of his years at high school and university :)

  4. Hels, the doorway was part of the Giles Baths complex that included a gym, hot sea baths and a private sunbaking area. It was demolished in 2000. I found this website that tells you a bit more about the history of Giles Baths

  5. Wow such a lovely evening . Great picture Jim.

  6. Love the warm orange glow! Thanks for linking up with Friday My Town Shoot Out!

  7. I wouldn't mind jumping into that water on a warm summer's day. I bet those hot baths were fun too, back in the day when they were at their best.

  8. I am watch McCleod Daughters filmed in Australia and love that country. Beautiful lighting in this photo.

    1. Great to hear that McLeod's Daughters has a following overseas. It was a good show.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave me a message. Jim.
