Drummoyne, Masonic Temple

The Masonic Hall is a heritage building on Victoria Road in the inner west suburb of Drummoyne. Built in 1905 in the Federation Free Style it now houses a couple of commercial premises at street level. The real estate agent beside the home loans broker seems a perfect fit.

  3. A line of my family lived in Drummoyne for many many years. I shall be interested to see what other buildings you focus upon. Drummoyne suffers in comparison with Balmain, I suspect, as a shopping destination. However, all the little inlets in the harbour afford lots of very expansive and expensive water views.

  4. I love it when a historical building proudly states its purpose "Masonic Hall" and its date "1905" carved in a plaque on the front.

  5. We find these temples all round the towns. One here has been turned into apartments - a hall that was very tall successfully given a mezzanine floor etc and seems livable.
