Circular Quay, Aboriginal buskers

A group of Aboriginal buskers can usually be found at Circular Quay making music using a didgeridoo and clapsticks. Last week, NAIDOC Week celebrations were held across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

  3. They certainly have the very best of spots for their busking. I do find it a little sad though. And yet I dont find the other buskers sad - just a way of earning a living. I think I shall have to adjust my emotions!

  11. My husband has a didgeridoo. He hasn't learned to play it yet. I enjoy listening to taped music that we have, though.

  13. Serge Cornillet, while its true that life may be sad for some Aboriginal people, these buskers seem quite happy to be performing their music.
