Darling Point, ferry wharf

This ferry wharf sits at the end of McKell Park, in the eastern suburb of Darling Point. It is serviced by Sydney Ferries which provides a regular service between Circular Quay and Watsons Bay. Clark Island is the small island that can be seen a short distance away in Sydney Harbour. Clark Island gets its name from Lieutenant Ralph Clark who cultivated a vegetable garden there in the early days of the colony.

  1. In all the photos I see of Australia the water is so BLUE. Is it really like that or are all you photographers there just mega talented?

  3. McKell Park is a gorgeous little part of Sydney, Jim. I have been collecting more info about the islands in the harbour. I did some posts last year and am ready to go with more next week. Happy coincidence.

  4. Tracy, there is definitely a difference in colour in Australia compared to other parts of the world. Visitors often remark about the deep shades of blue in the sky, which is reflected in the water and I've noticed it myself when I travel overseas too.
